2/365 Pleasant evening with my shadow
Luckily the weather here today was nice but the conditions for the bush fires raging to our east are likely to deteriorate tomorrow.
3/365 A smokey start
It was forecast at get dangerously hot today, especially for east gippsland. However it started very smokey here with little wind, so I trust there will also be a lull where those trapped in dangerous bush fire zones get a chance to safely evacuate.

5/366 Sir William Dobell's studio
I like seeing artist's studios, especially if they are left as the artist left them. With William Dobel's I get the impression of a very spartan workplace (just a small box of paints a small number of brushes and jars. Simple chair & easel). Actually I suspect a significant cleanup.
6/366 So still it's Eerie
After a short period of rain, that cleared a lot of the smoke, the world moved from grey to slightly coloured, but everything was quiet and still, a little unnerving after the past few days.
A set of 9 photos, in 3 sets of HDR bracketed images. Used Aurora HDR to processed bracket photo to 3 tiff images then On1 Photo RAW to stitch a panorama.
7/366 A pair of Pelican glide bye
Still a bit grey and smokey so why not photograph something black & white.
8/366 Under the Illawarra Flame Tree
Smokey again today, very grey, not a good time for sight seeing. So I went looking for colour..
9/366 The colour is returning
After several days of smoke and some decent rain, the lake & land is putting on their happy coloured coats. Just the occasional glimpse of the sun.
Combined HDR (using Aurora) and Panorama (stitched with OnOne Photo Raw)
Cave Beach :: The Big Panorama
This is constructed from 15 photos in three rows, After some experimentation of the best way to do it I settled for the RAW images (.orf and no post processing) stitched with On1 Photo Raw then passed through Photo Lemur 3.
10/366 Late Afternoon and the smoke Haze return
sun setting over Lake Macquaire in HDR
11/366 Another Grey Day on the Lake
It's not smoke today, its rain and cold temp, So there isn't any action down on the lake.
12/366 Out on the lake
Lake Macquaire Cruise
13/366 Where the bloody hell are ya?
Perhaps a gentler summer is restarting.
But the tourist are still staying away (perhaps because of smoke.)
PS note the lake is almost blue
14/366 Another smoke haze sunset
Was a great day but the smoke haze is still hanging around.
15/366 Which way did they say?
Just a Couple of Pelicans at the Soldier's Point Boat Ramp.
Well hello there
16/366 The drowned tree
The dead tree is not a mangrove and thus erosion &/or sea level rise has left it exposed.
17/266 Heavy Rain (at Last)
Enough to have the water tanks overflowing here, Some significant flooding inland. But hopefully enough over the fires districts to the south.
18/366 Another Grey Day on the Lake
Sure the rain is welcome but... it is a challenge for daily photo takers.
19/366 what a lot of eastern Australian forest looks like at the moment
20/366 Happy in the rain
I returend home to Melbourne expecting to see my little bit or rainforest dried out and struggling, but instead it is flourishing in the recent heavy rains. At least the fires are now almost all out.
23/266 The greening of Jells Park
three weeks ago as I walked across the field the dead grass crunched under my feet.
Two photo stitched panorama
24/366 Late Afternoon
It's summer and the picnic grounds are empty?
Our weird summer continues...
25/366 ivy .vs. gum tree
Despite my occasional intervention I suspect the ivy is getting the upper hand
